Pyramid sets
As you may already know, varying reps every workout has been shown to speed up progress (Rhea et al. 2002). But what about covering a wide range of reps in the same workout? You can do it with pyramid sets, a time-tested technique coach Martin Berkhan says is "the most reliable and effective I’ve ever come across" (Berkhan, 2018). Curious to try a new technique? Now you can! Pyramid sets are now available inside Dr. Muscle. Set them up at the global level, or on an exercise-by-exercise basis.
